Louis Vuitton to display Ernest Hemingway's trunk
Louis Vuitton is about to open a historic chapter from the past or to put it more aptly, a historic trunk. The fashion house will display a trunk that was once commissioned by renowned American author and journalist, Ernest Hemingway.

In the mid-19 th century, Louis Vuitton began to create personalised trunks for photographic equipment, musical instruments, camp beds, shower rooms and dressing tables. One such piece was requested by Hemingway in 1927, which the writer used as a library trunk. Designed by Gaston-Louis Vuitton, it is a marvel of secret drawers and snug shelves that accompanied him on his travels.

However, the trunk was rediscovered after a long time in the basement of The Ritz in Paris, along with the long-lost manuscript of A Moveable Feast, Hemingway's posthumous masterpiece. It is now a part of the Louis Vuitton writing store, where one-off pens, exclusive inks and crystal inkstands mix with the brand's writing collection.
