Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut is back on Twitter. The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ star, who was suspended by the microblogging platform in May 2021, for some incendiary tweets, was back with a bang on the bird app on January 24. The actress kept her first tweet sweet and simple. “Hello everyone, it’s nice to be back here.” The tweet quickly became viral on the microblogging site. It accumulated more than 597.8K views, 16.9K likes, and 1799 retweets. Netizens flooded the comment section to welcome her back. “Freedom of speech restored, welcome back,” wrote a fan. “Welcome back queen,” commented another.

Ranaut who recently wrapped up shooting for the Indira Gandhi biopic ‘Emergency’, announced the news on Twitter and also shared the release date. “And it’s a wrap! ‘Emergency’ filming completed successfully… see you in cinemas on 20th October 2023 … ‘’. The ‘Gangster’ actress also uploaded a clip from a film, as well as behind-the-scenes footage from the movie. The tweet has amassed more than 5500 likes and 854 retweets.
The film which stars Ranaut as Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister, is also her second directorial venture after ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. She has also turned producer for the movie. The film also stars Bollywood veterans such as Anupam Kher (as Jayaprakash Narayan), Shreyas Talpade (as Atal Bihari Vajpayee), Mahima Chaudhary, Satish Kaushik, and many others.
On the work front, she will be next seen in the Tamil movie ‘Chandramukhi 2’ The film is a sequel to the 2005 blockbuster ‘Chandramukhi’.
