Look for freedom, not turning off: Randstad India CEO Paul Dupuis's advice to potential employees

Dupuis doesn't subscribe to the ‘work-life-balance’ school of thought.

Mincing words is just not his style, neither is subscribing to the ‘work-life-balance’ school of thought. “There’s no such thing as work-life balance…or turning off,” Randstad India CEO Paul Dupuis said, in an interview to a business magazine.

Yet, somehow, people invest a lot of thought in this principle while accepting a job — a trend Dupius is wary about. To him, freedom is what potential employees should look for.

“The freedom to switch off, or the freedom to work four hours one day to go to yoga, and come back and work nine hours the next day is what real work-life balance looks like,” he said.
