Drawing inspiration from Mother Nature, veteran actor Anupam Kher recently shared a lesson - changing your perspective can help you see life differently. He remined us that life is not about about success or failure, winning or losing, but about seeing life beyond these labels. The actor recently posted a photograph of a tiny branch but when he held the piece against the vast sky, the seemingly small object suddenly looked like a magnificent tree.

The photograph prompted Kher, 71, to reflect on how easily people can overlook the beauty.

In a post on X, Kher wrote that the branch itself had not changed. What changed was the way he looked at it. The observation led him to wonder how many beautiful things he might have missed in his own life simply because he had not viewed them differently.



The actor said that suggested just changing the perspective rather than allowing established ways of thinking to dictate what we notice. Something that appears ordinary at first glance, he said, can reveal a different quality when seen against a new background.

Anupam pointed out that the little branch had no roots in the ground, grand branches or lush green leaves. Yet, he found a different thing in it, when the thought from a different perspective.


With that tiny branch in mind the veteran actor reflected on the relationship between our circumstances and the way we interpret them. People often assume that something around them must change before they can experience it differently. Kher suggested that this is not always necessary. Sometimes, a shift in perspective can be enough to reveal details that were previously overlooked.

Concluding his post with a message, Anupam Kher wrote: "Whether life is big or small does not matter; what matters is having a broad perspective."
