Long flights are a breeze for top boss Sandeep Thapliyal, spends time listening to music & introspecting

For Sandeep Thapliyal, MD & CEO, Avendus Finance, flights are a great way of disconnecting with the day to day grind and the hustle-bustle.

He told ET Panache, "It provides me with a perfect break where I just sit back and do all those things which otherwise one finds difficult to devote time to. My personal favourite is reflecting and deep thinking around various aspects of life, be it professional or personal. It helps in providing a fresh perspective to relationships, improving understanding of one’s own self and people around you."

Music provides Thapliyal with comfort while on a flight. He added, "For unwinding it’s Hindi songs most of the time, especially from the ’70s. Other than that Phil Collins, Sting and Tracy Chapman are my personal favourites."


If it’s a long haul flight, then movies on Netflix come in quite handy. "At the moment I am watching ‘Dirty Money’, a series of completely different real-life episodes mainly dissecting the most basic of human emotion ‘greed’!” he said.
