Big Boy Toyz founder's WFH mode: Family time, good habits, mental health

Jatin Ahuja, Founder, Big Boy Toyz, likes the fact that working from home lets him be in control of his own schedule. “I get to choose when to work and when to take rest. Working from home gives you the benefit of scheduling your day according to your choice and not the market statistics. It took us a while to get used to the ‘quarantine’ idea of staying safe but if we look at it holistically, we can do a lot more than just work. We have all the time we had asked for, for our families and our personal development,” he says.

He manages his professional and personal life by micromanaging his time. “I keep my work and family lives in balance. Of course, the work is still my priority as most of the times I am either giving interviews online or recording a webinar on our social media channels; yet I ensure to find out time to spend with my family,” he says.

Spending time with his kids is first on his list after a day of work. And Ahuja also squeezes in some me time. “I am giving myself a ‘break-worthy’ time. I’m enjoying time with my family, taking mental health seriously, and creating a pattern of good habits these days. I also try to exercise on regular basis and make it interesting so to make it a lifestyle at some point.”


Apart from that he misses his cars and of course, the simple pleasures in life. “Once this is done, apart from getting back to work, I’m going to head to my favorite Japanese restaurant and eat to my fullest. That’s what keeping me hopeful for the days to come,” says Ahuja.
