Suresh Garg, MD and Founder, Zeon Lifesciences, is eagerly waiting for things to go back to normal.

"I really miss traveling abroad and weekend getaways to different and exotic places, the peace they offer is immeasurable. What intrigues me most is experiencing different cultures and trying out various cuisines. Apart from travelling, I’m missing meeting friends and relatives for Sunday brunches," he says.

Away from home
Holidays are something that is majorly missing right now. Garg always enjoyed being close to nature as there is something that keeps calling him.

"When it comes to international destinations, I always have a longing for Switzerland. It's luscious greenery everywhere with beautiful snow-covered mountains in the background and watching how cows are just minding their own business is truly incredible. Nature keeps calling me so I really love to travel to Leh-Ladakh, Auli, Srinagar, Pondicherry," he says.

Garg truly believe that every person should be really aware of how he or she is treating their mind, body and soul.

"Your work and life balance would love that. I really enjoy holistic natural spa therapies, every once in a while. I’m very much particular about my hair, so visit salons often. During the lockdown, one thing that I truly missed for sure is trying out different cuisines. I would definitely revisit Taj in Delhi to have a great family dinner. In particular, The Masala Art at Taj has my entire family’s heart. Their ambience, hospitality and of course food are just amazing, to say the least," he says.

Shopping spree
Unlike many men, Garg enjoys shopping. However, there is not a particular place he would go to. "But, Satya Paul is a very great brand for both men and women. What attracted me are the beautiful ties, scarves and sarees that they offer. I am more of a hands-on person. Technology is not my best friend. However, my wife stays very up-to-date and enjoys the latest technology. She has recently gifted me a new smartphone which has eased my work very much," he shares.

Garg truly appreciates the time that he has got during this lockdown. "This allowed me to spend more time with my family and bond like never before. I have taken up small kitchen gardening assignments for myself every now and then and enjoyed watching the fruits of my labour grow. Also, binge-watching documentaries, biographies etc. have been my favourite pastime lately," he says.

Garg's day starts with 'pranayama followed by a brisk walk, and with a daily regime of drinking a good cup of Zeotum Latte in the morning with a few almonds. In the evening, he goes for a walk accompanied by light exercise.

Food safety and good nutrition is everyone’s primary concern. Packaged foods like milk, juices, purees etc. offer preservative free shelf-stable food, with the promise of safety and hygiene, but it is up to us to choose packaging that has the minimum environmental impact. Opt for recyclable packaging, snacks that come in paper-packaging that are biodegradable; home delivered food that comes with compostable cutlery, or no cutlery at all. Choose smart.
