Lloyd Blankfein’s post-retirement plans include Twitter

The chairman of Goldman Sachs will follow people's advice and take a couple of weeks off.

It can’t be easy to wake up one morning and know that you no longer run one of the largest investment banks in the world. It’s kind of like experiencing the calm that follows the storm. Something that Lloyd Blankfein, soon-to-be former chairman of Goldman Sachs (GS) is perhaps bracing himself for, as he prepares to put behind his GS stint formally in the coming months.

However, reports suggest that Blankfein’s post-GS life will hardly be that of a retiree’s. There is speculation about the next plum posting that he may be offered. After all, in an interview, he has said that he is “now on the job market”.
