LinkedIn goes Clubhouse way, confirms working on audio feature
LinkedIn will soon start beta testing of its new audio feature.

The platform confirmed the news to TechCrunch, saying that the move came after several users said that they wanted more ways to communicate. "We’re seeing nearly 50% growth in conversations on LinkedIn reflected in stories, video shares and posts on the platform," LinkedIn said in a statement.
The company also said that they are already conducting early tests to create a unique audio experience which will be connected to user's professional identity.
"We're looking at how we can bring audio to other parts of LinkedIn such as events and groups, to give our members even more ways to connect to their community," it further said.
LinkedIn will soon start beta testing of its new audio feature. Apart from LinkedIn and Twitter, Facebook is also working on separate audio app with similar features of Clubhouse.
The invite-only audio chat app which was launched in April 2020 for iPhones, has been downloaded over 8 million times. Clubhouse is currently working on an Android version of its app.
