Limited edition Galaxy Alpha up for grabs
The company has now launched four new limited edition Jean-Baptiste Rautureau variants of the smartphone, studded with alligator leather on the back.

Available colours include grey, burgundy, blue and brown. It is said that Samsung has only manufactured 100 each of these variants, so they're available in very limited quantities. Pricing wise, the device costs substantially more than the standard model at Rs 50,000 approximately. Samsung claims that the leather has been designed by French artisans in Vendee, which is located to the west of France. Each smartphone will also come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the designer Jean-Baptiste Rautureau himself.
Internally, this is the same Galaxy Alpha as the one which broke cover a few months ago and comes with the 4.7-inch 720p display, a 12MP camera, Samsung's Exynos 5430 octa core chipset. The device is also packing 32GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 1,860 mAh battery. The Android 5.0 update should be on its way sometime next year.
Motorola offers extensive customisation o its smartphones with the Moto X, so this might be Samsung's effort to come up with something similar, although users only have to choose from preset options here.
