Like father, like daughter! Kumar Mangalam and Ananya Birla's shared love for stationery

It seems to be a case of ‘like father, like daughter’ for the Birla family. It’s not just a keen business sense that runs in their genes but a love for stationery as well. Both Kumar Mangalam Birla and daughter Ananya are fans of pencils and pens respectively.

Ananya recently revealed, “I collect pens because I love stories and I love writing. I write my own songs and poetry. It may be the worst thing, but I love writing.”

As for her father, the reasoning is somewhat different. “My dad doesn’t collect pencils but he loves them. He says he feels in charge with a sharpened pencil.” But, with three companies and a music career, we wonder when this young CEO has the time to write. Ananya tells us, “I have a diary I write in before going to sleep and the best thing I have ever written is ‘I’m exhausted’ with a full stop (laughs)”.
