Salman Khan was the first guest to appear in the 9th season of Koffee With Karan. The celebrity chat show premiered for its final season on Wednesday, October 14. During the candid conversation with Karan Johar, Salman opened up about his personal anecdotes, his take on trolling, and family life. But it was his confession of a ghostly presence at his residence, Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai, that grabbed the attention of the host. For the unversed, Salman worked with KJo in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, appearing in a cameo.

Karan remembered visiting Salman’s Galaxy Apartments to narrate the script of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The filmmaker revealed that Salman lived with his whole family in the residence, including his parents - Salim Khan and Salma as well as his brothers, actors Arbaaz and Sohail.

‘You had the tiniest room with one cupboard and one bed. I was shocked, thinking, ‘Is this actually Salman Khan’s bedroom?’ noted Karan, to which Salman made an interesting revelation. The superstar said that his room was presumably haunted, with objects making eerie noises on their own — a confession that left Karan shocked.

‘I never stayed alone in that room. I always stayed there with somebody whom I had never seen, only heard,’ shared Salman, adding that lights would start flickering out of the blue, cupboards would open on their own, and music would suddenly start playing without anyone touching the system.

Salman continued that whenever he was in the bathroom, he could feel someone’s presence outside, fidgeting with the cupboards. ‘That’s how I figured out there was somebody or something there,’ he said. When Karan asked whether his room was actually haunted, Salman said that he indeed felt a strange presence.

‘Whenever I played music, I could feel its presence. So, I used to play music for it and walk out of the room. There was a billiards table outside, and whenever we played there, we could hear that someone was inside the room,’ shared Salman, adding that the paranormal activities did not bother him, because the entity, if it had been there, did not bother him.
