Want to jazz up your house? But feeling lazy about it?

Well, the festive season is here - and it's the perfect time (excuse) to give your house that much-needed makeover. And while you are in a state of frenzy, cleaning up the place and thinking of innovative solutions, there's only so much that you can do.

Worry not.

Here are some simple tips to give a touch of class to your house. With the right accessories, designer ceilings, chandeliers and more, your pad can be the talk of the town.

Statement Light Fixtures or Chandeliers

Look for unique fixtures to draw attention and add grace to the area. If something feels incomplete even after you've decorated, chances are that your lighting is to blame. Replacing a standard, frosted-glass, pendant light, or a boring, brass chandelier with something unique will pull together all the elements of a room and highlight the architecture of a home.

Add an extra touch of luxury with a double chandelier. Floral chandeliers are a bold choice, but can look stunning in rooms with simple decor and furniture.

Fixtures made from hand-blown glass, featuring elegantly swooping stems and delicate buds, can add character to a plain-looking dining room.

Colourful Lights

Brighten up corners with coloured lights. Use changeable LED lights to decorate the exterior. These lights come in varied colors and are a must during the festive season. Also, LEDs are energy-efficient and easy on the pocket.

Classic Meets Contemporary

Mix the old with the new. A vintage touch with industrial hanging lights makes the pad look uber-royal and elegant.

Classic Shades

Have fun with the lampshades as they can make the space look warm and welcoming.

Complementary Style

Pendant lights are the perfect addition to any area of the home. Not only do they provide task lighting, but they also add continuity. Use stainless steel shades for a sleek, contemporary look or colorful ones for an eclectic style. Hanging lanterns for open courtyards and balconies is another way to decorate your surroundings in a creative way.

Floating Candles

It is a theme that never gets old. Fill bowls of water and stick some floating candles in it. Add some decorative items or colour the water to create a unique piece out of it.
