David Goggins says challenges are unavoidable, and the only way forward is to face them head-on. The motivational speaker believes setbacks, failures and pain do not mean a person is broken but indicate they are being tested. Known for his extreme...

"Whatever is in front of you, don’t put your head down, face it head-on. Life is not going to give you any breaks," Goggins said.
He explained that most people experience moments when they feel broken, whether emotionally, physically or spiritually. According to him, those who have gone through difficult phases already understand the pain and emotions that come with hardship.
"The majority of us have been broken at least once in our lives," he shared, adding that suffering is an unavoidable part of the human experience. Goggins believes many people spend their lives trying to avoid discomfort, but challenges cannot always be escaped.
"Suffering is inevitable in life. Suffering has no expiration date," he said. For Goggins, the answer is not to avoid difficult situations but to develop the strength to confront them. He said that even when people face failures, injuries, rejection or setbacks, those experiences do not mean they are defeated.
"There's one thing you must do in life… you must always fight," Goggins said. The athlete believes resilience is built by repeatedly choosing to move forward, even when situations feel overwhelming. His message encourages people to see challenges as tests of strength rather than permanent failures. "Try to break me again! Stay hard!" is the mindset Goggins says people should carry when facing adversity.
