Amitabh Bachchan has been entertaining fans with his candid stint on Kaun Banega Crorepati season 18, which premiered on August 10 this year. Besides asking interesting questions on a wide range of topics to the participants, Big B often delights viewers by sharing light-hearted anecdotes from his personal life. In one promo video posted on social media, the Bollywood megastar was seen talking about a clever and hilarious trick he uses on his wife, veteran actress Jaya Bachchan, to get her ready on time for any event.

Amitabh Bachchan on Jaya Bachchan getting ready

During one of the episodes, a female participant wanted to know whether, like most husbands, Amitabh Bachchan also has to wait for his wife when she is getting ready for a wedding or any other function. Calling it a good question, the 83-year-old smiled and said, ‘Let me tell you the trick’.

Amitabh Bachchan revealed that whenever he and Jaya Bachchan have a commitment at a particular time, he tells her a time that is actually an hour earlier than the scheduled one. This ensures that she starts getting ready well in advance, allowing the couple to leave on time and reach their destination without being late.

‘So if the time for the wedding is 6 pm, I tell her 5 pm, so she starts getting ready by 3:30 - 4 pm and ends up getting ready on time,’ explained Amitabh Bachchan, prompting amusement from the audience present.

Amitabh Bachchan on late night shoots

Previously, Amitabh Bachchan opened up about following a small habit at home whenever he knows he is going to return late from work after a shoot. The film veteran explained that as soon as he wakes up, he sends a message to the family group informing everyone that he has a shoot and may return late, asking them not to wait for him at dinner.

By informing his family in advance, Amitabh Bachchan avoids any trouble when he eventually gets home. However, he added that failing to notify Jaya Bachchan could lead to her questioning him about his whereabouts and late arrival. In such situations, she does not wait for him for dinner and instead eats on her own before going to bed.
