'Leo' continues box-office domination; Vijay's action drama crosses Rs 300 cr in India

The ‘Leo’ Craze Refuses To Die Down

According to a report by the Indian box-office tracking portal Sacnilk.com, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has accumulated Rs 303 crore at the end of 11 days. The Vijay film earned a spectacular Rs 243 crore in Tamil, Rs 37 crore in Telugu, and an impressive Rs 20 crore in Hindi. On the eleventh day of release, the gritty action thriller earned a whopping Rs 16.55 crore.


Vijay’s Thriller Conquers Overseas Box-office

The Vijay-Trisha Krishnan-starrer is a box-office phenomenon globally too! According to an Indian Express report, the Lokesh Kanagaraj movie has crossed Rs 508 crore overseas! The movie became the second Tamil film after Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’ to earn more than $1 million on the day of its premiere in the USA.

‘Leo’ marks the reunion between Vijay and Kanagaraj after the 2021 blockbuster ‘Master’. Aside from Vijay and Trisha, the movie boasts of a stellar ensemble cast comprising of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt along with Gautam Vasudev Menon and many other notable names.

‘Leo’ is said to be an official remake of the 2005 David Cronenberg directorial ‘A History Of Violence’ starring Viggo Mortensen.
