Lens-shaped windows, film roll balconies, ‘Click’-worthy decor: Karnataka man’s camera-themed home is a tribute to his 30-year love for photography
A Karnataka man, a photography enthusiast for three decades, transformed his home into a literal camera. Named 'Click', the house features exterior architecture mimicking camera brands and interiors filled with vintage cameras and lens-shaped wind...

A home inspired by every click
Recently, digital creator Priyam Saraswat got the opportunity to explore the person’s stunning property and dropped a detailed video of the home tour on his official Instagram handle. Like a typical camera, the exterior walls of the house were painted in shades of grey, black and white, while the names of the 2 popular camera brands ‘Nikon’ and ‘Canon’ were also emblazoned on the facade.
Inside the house, everything reflected the man’s sheer love for taking pictures. There was a shelf dedicated to all types of vintage cameras, dating back to decades. The home owner revealed that the kitchen window was round in shape so that it resembled the camera lens. Even the balcony railings looked like retro film rolls. A SD card structure, displayed outside, was a nod to the modern camera advancements.
Photography beyond walls and windows
Another artistic highlight of Click, the house, was that the staircase to the upper levels was decorated with inspiring photography messages and quotes. Some of them were, ‘Camera is another eye’, ‘A good photographer is a good observed’, ‘Collect moments not things’, ‘Life is a camera, face it with a smile’, and ‘Today’s moments are tomorrow’s memories’. The Karnataka man even admitted that his love for photography ran so deep that he named his 3 sons Canon, Nikon and Epson after the classic camera brands.
One of the children’s bedrooms had a flash-themed window constructed at a little higher level. Meanwhile, the guest bedroom stole the spotlight with a vibrant geometric ceiling built around a camera settings dial, its asymmetrical design drawing inspiration from the Google Photos logo. But one of the bests spaces in the entire home was the lush green terrace which looked like a strip of photographic film from the outside, explained the photographer.
A difficult but passionate dream
Bringing the unconventional vision to life was far from easy. The man revealed that several engineers turned down the project, considering the design too unusual to execute. Refusing to give up on his dream, he teamed up with his brother-in-law to plan the house themselves, carefully crafting every element to reflect his lifelong love for photography and their creative vision. So far, the video has received over 16.2 million views.
