Leaked: HTC One mini 2 press render

It has now become traditional for the smartphone makers to launch a rippeddown version of their flagship devices. We have seen Samsung, HTC and now even Micromax adopting this strategy. We have already heard rumours about HTC working on the mini version of its latest flagship. Now @evelaks has posted a press render of the said device. As per him, this smartphone will be launched as HTC One mini 2.

Yeah we know, it’s quite a mouthful! As per the leak, HTC One mini 2 too will be available in colors such as Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold, much like the HTC One (M8). However, as per this leak, it looks like the HTC One mini 2 will not have the Duo camera arrangement that is there on the HTC One (M8). This is pretty sad for people who were looking to pick up a good mid-range camera phone.

The earlier rumours suggests that the HTC One (M8) mini will pack in 4.5-inch HD display, 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It will run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) coupled with a layer of Sense 6.0. Rumours also suggest that the HTC One Mini 2 will come with 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.

This smartphone is likely to have on-screen buttons rather than capacitive touch buttons on the front. As of now, there is no word on the price or availability of the HTC One Mini 2, but we will not be surprised if the Taiwanese company announces this phone sometime in this quarter.
