Lava launches V5 4G, boasts of a great camera

NEW DELHI: Domestic smartphone maker Lava has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of its new flagship device called Lava V5 4G.

The company has priced the device for Rs 11,499 and it will be available on the online and retail stores in the country. The USP of the device is its camera capabilities.

Talking about the specifications, the Lava V5 4G features a 5.5-inch HD display protected with a coating of Corning Gorillas Glass 3 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of the handset accounts to
16GB with a microSD card support up to 32GB.

The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is also upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8MP front facing snapper for clicking selfies. Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and packs a 3,000mAh battery.
