Here are six of the latest phones available in the market for gadget enthusiasts to try out.

LG Spirit: The Spirit is LG's latest mid-range Android smartphone. It has a 4.7-inch IPS display (1280 x 720 pixels) with Gorilla Glass 3 and runs the latest Android 5.0. Specifications include a 1.3Ghz quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and a 2,100mAh battery. It weighs 124 grams, offers dual SIM support, a microSD slot for expansion (up to 32GB supported) and dual cameras (8MP rear, 1MP front). Other features include 3G, WiFi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, FM, accelerometer and proximity sensor. The price includes premium Hungama account to access content from the device.

Rio Mobile Range: Rio Mobile is a new budget segment player and they have launched three new phones in a tie-up with Snapdeal. The phones are named after famous cities: Rio New York (5-inch), Rio Paris (4.5-inch) and Rio London (4-inch). All the phones run Android 4.4 and come with 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, a microSD slot for expansion, 2MP front camera, dual SIM support, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth. While the New York has a 1.3Ghz quad core processor and 8MP camera, the Paris & London feature a 1.3Ghz dual core processor and 5MP rear camera. Rio Mobile says that they do not install any bloatware or unnecessary apps on the smartphones.

Celkon Millennia Q450: This new budget dual SIM offering from Celkon features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The highlight is that it is one of the cheapest phones with a quad core processor. Other specifications include 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, a microSD slot for expansion and a 1,800mAh battery. It weighs 147 grams, features a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, gravity, proximity and light sensor.

Price: Rs 4,799



Intex Aqua Xtreme V: The Xtreme V is just 6.99mm thick and has an octa core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and 2,000mAh battery. The 5-inch HD IPS display has Dragontrail glass for protection, dual cameras (13MP rear, 5MP front) and Android 4.4. Other features include microSD slot (up to 32GB), dual SIM support, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, gravity sensor, proximity sensor and light sensor. You also get a built-in call recorder, FM and preloaded apps including Intex Zone, Opera mini, Intex Play, OLX and Flipkart.

Lava Iris 444: This new entry-level smartphone is powered by a 1Ghz processor and comes with Android 4.4. It has a 4-inch display (800 x 480 pixels), dual cameras (2MP rear, VGA front) and dual SIM support. Other specifications include 256MB RAM, 512MB internal storage, a microSD slot (up to 32GB cards supported) and a 1,400mAh battery. The phone offers 2G support, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Micromax Bolt S300 & Bolt D320: Micromax has updated its Bolt range of smartphones with two new affordable devices: S300 and D320. The S300 has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display and runs on a 1Ghz processor with 1,200mAh battery. The D320 features a 4.5-inch display (854 x 480 pixels) and is powered by a 1.2Ghz dual core processor with a 1,600mAh battery. Both phones have Android 4.4 along with 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, a microSD slot for expansion and dual cameras. The price includes a special 2 month free data plan for Vodafone users.

Price: Rs 3,300 onwards
