The first week of September is bringing a little bit of everything to streaming platforms. If you are in the mood for a comedy that promises plenty of chaos, there is a familiar gang waiting with another treasure hunt. For those who prefer crime and revenge, a mother searching for her missing daughter and an aristocrat caught in a dangerous business deal are also making their way to OTT. There is also a courtroom drama, a psychological thriller and a Cold War action movie in the mix.

Here is a look at the movies and shows arriving on Netflix, Prime Video, SonyLIV, JioHotstar and Apple TV between August 31 and September 6.

Dhamaal 4 - Netflix


The popular Dhamaal franchise returns with another treasure-hunting adventure in Dhamaal 4. The comedy follows a group whose search for a legendary treasure quickly turns into a chaotic mess. Their troubles multiply when a bumbling pirate causes the treasure map to be scattered, bringing families and rivals into the chase. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Jaaved Jaaferi and premieres on Netflix on September 4, 2026.

The Gentlemen Season 2 - Netflix

Guy Ritchie's crime comedy-drama The Gentlemen is back with its second season. The series continues the story of Eddie Horniman, an aristocrat who discovers that his inherited family estate has a surprising connection to a massive cannabis empire. Theo James returns as Eddie, with the new season arriving on Netflix on September 3, 2026.

The show combines crime, dark humour and the kind of unexpected trouble that follows Eddie as he tries to understand the dangerous world he has inherited.

Gandhari - Netflix

Taapsee Pannu takes on a dramatic role in Gandhari, a revenge thriller centred on a mother's desperate search for her missing daughter. Bani's life changes after her young daughter disappears from a railway station. An attack then leaves Bani temporarily blind, but it does not stop her from searching for the truth.

As she digs deeper, she discovers a child-trafficking network operating in Joypurra. Taapsee Pannu, Ishwak Singh, Chhaya Kadam, Swastika Mukherjee, Mita Vashisht and Jatin Sarna feature in the film, which releases on Netflix on September 3, 2026.

Jagamae Sangeetham - Prime Video

Music and family tradition take centre stage in the Telugu musical drama Jagamae Sangeetham. Set in Vaikuntapuram, the story follows Balu, a talented musician expected to carry forward the legacy created by his grandfather, Shastri Garu.

Things change when he meets Kavitha, a popular singer who wants to step away from the pressures of fame. Their relationship puts Balu's traditional upbringing and his family's expectations to the test. The film stars Balu and Kavitha in the central roles and premieres on Prime Video on September 4, 2026.

Unmadham - SonyLIV

For viewers looking for something darker, Unmadham brings a psychological crime story to SonyLIV. The film follows police officer Shelly, who becomes intrigued by an old case involving the mysterious death of a young woman. Her decision to reopen the case brings long-buried questions back to the surface.

Directed by Kiran Das, the thriller stars Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose and releases on SonyLIV on September 4, 2026.

The Court - JioHotstar

The Court takes viewers into a courtroom where the case is also deeply connected to family. The Tamil legal drama follows a young lawyer with a stammer who goes up against her celebrated father in court. What begins as a professional battle gradually becomes a personal confrontation, forcing her to challenge both his reputation and their complicated relationship.

The film stars its young lawyer protagonist alongside her celebrated lawyer father, and arrives on JioHotstar on September 4, 2026.

Mayday - Apple TV

Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh come together for the action thriller Mayday. Reynolds plays US Navy pilot Lieutenant Troy “Assassin” Kelly, who becomes stranded behind enemy lines after a secret Cold War operation goes wrong.

With survival becoming increasingly difficult, Troy has little choice but to trust Nikolai Ustinov, a former KGB agent played by Branagh. The unlikely pair must put aside their differences and work together to find a way out. Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh lead the cast, with Mayday premiering on Apple TV on September 4, 2026.
