Kara - Netflix

Directed by Vignesh Raja, Kara is set in the early 1990s and follows Karasaami, a small-time robber from Ramanathapuram. Hoping to settle down peacefully with his wife, he returns to his village only to discover that his father is trapped in heavy debt because of a tractor loan.

What begins as a personal revenge mission slowly turns into a larger fight for justice as Kara realises many villagers are suffering under similar circumstances. The action thriller combines rural drama with emotional storytelling and social themes.
