Several movies that recently completed their theatrical runs are now making their digital debut, while one new Tamil release is also arriving directly on OTT. From Vijay’s final film to Prithviraj Sukumaran’s latest thriller, there is plenty for regional cinema fans to explore.

Pyaar Prema Kalyanam – Netflix

Saanve Megghana and Elan’s Tamil family entertainer Pyaar Prema Kalyanam will stream on Netflix from August 21, 2026. Directed by Elan, the film follows Pavi, a popular influencer who has an unusual approach to married life. After her wedding to Elan, she refuses to move into his house. Instead, Elan moves into hers, creating an amusing situation for both families.


The story revolves around the culture clashes and changing expectations that emerge from this arrangement. As the couple and their families adjust to the situation, the film explores relationships, family dynamics and self-discovery through a light-hearted narrative.

Jana Nayagan – ZEE5

Jana Nayagan will premiere on ZEE5 on August 21, 2026. Directed by H. Vinoth, the action drama is particularly significant as it marks Vijay’s farewell film before his political career takes centre stage.

The film received mixed reactions for its content, with negative reviews and weak word of mouth affecting its theatrical reception. I, Nobody – JioHotstar

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu headline I, Nobody, which will begin streaming on JioHotstar on August 25, 2026. Directed by Nisam Basheer, the crime thriller was released in theatres on July 9 and received a mixed response.

Chennai Love Story – SonyLIV

Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya’s romantic drama Chennai Love Story will arrive on SonyLIV on August 21, 2026. The film was released in theatres on July 24 and enjoyed a successful run before making its way to streaming.

Newton's 3rd Law – ETV Win
