Malayalam OTT viewers have plenty to look forward to this week, with streaming platforms adding a mix of sports dramas, fantasy adventures, action films and documentaries. Along with original Malayalam content, several dubbed South Indian releases are also making their digital debut, giving audiences more choices across genres. Whether you're interested in an inspiring sports story, a gripping action drama or a documentary celebrating Kerala's football culture, the latest OTT lineup has something for everyone. Here's a look at the new Malayalam releases arriving this week.

Land of Football – JioHotstar
One of the most interesting releases this week is Land of Football, which premieres on JioHotstar on July 10. The Malayalam sports documentary series explores Kerala's long-standing love affair with football and shines a light on the traditions that have kept the sport alive across generations.

Rather than focusing on a single player or tournament, the documentary takes viewers through Kerala's football culture, from its famous floodlit night matches and sevens tournaments to the excitement that surrounds every FIFA World Cup. It also talks about how football has become more than just a sport in the state, bringing together families, friends and entire communities. The series celebrates a legacy that has continued to inspire football fans for over 70 years.

Peddi (Dub) – Netflix
Peddi begins streaming on Netflix from July 9 in dubbed languages, including Malayalam. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Ravi Kishan, Viji Chandrasekhar and Shruti Haasan in a cameo appearance.

Set in 1994, the story follows Peddi, a talented cricketer from a remote village in Andhra Pradesh. While chasing his sporting dreams, he also hopes to improve the lives of people in his village. However, a personal tragedy changes everything, forcing him to leave cricket behind. Determined not to give up, Peddi turns to wrestling before another setback pushes him in a different direction. He eventually reinvents himself as a para-athlete and uses his achievements to draw attention to his village's struggles.

Balti – SonyLIV
Balti arrives on SonyLIV on July 10. Directed by debutant Unni Sivalingam, the Malayalam action-sports drama stars Shane Nigam and Shanthnu Bhagyaraj in lead roles. The film will also be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

The story centres on Udhayan, also known as Balti, a talented kabaddi player whose life takes an unexpected turn after he becomes involved in dangerous criminal activities along the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. As he gets pulled deeper into crime, he finds himself dealing with personal loss, intense rivalries and difficult choices. Combining sports, action and emotional drama, Balti explores how one decision can completely change a person's future while testing friendships, loyalty and courage.

Sing Geetham (Dub) – Netflix
Fantasy musical comedy Sing Geetham starts streaming on Netflix from July 8 in dubbed languages, including Malayalam. Directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, the film stars Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, Shalini Kondepudi, Sivannarayana Naripeddi, Agu Stanley Chiedozie, Vijay Deverakonda, KV Anudeep, Rahul Ravindran and Nivetha Pethuraj.

The story is set in Kuberapuram, a village that has suffered for years because of gold mining. Gauri devotes her life to protecting the village's only remaining ancient tree, but everything changes when Prathap returns to reclaim his family's land while searching for hidden gold alongside Renu.

After the tree is destroyed, a strange event leaves every villager communicating only through songs. As they search for a way to reverse the mysterious phenomenon, long-hidden family secrets come to light.
