Prathichaya - JioHotstar
After its theatrical run, Prathichaya is now ready for its digital premiere. Starring Nivin Pauly and directed by B. Unnikrishnan, the political thriller will begin streaming on April 24, 2026. The film had a mixed response in theatres after releasing on March 26, but is now expected to reach a wider audience on OTT.


The story revolves around a tech professional whose life turns upside down after getting involved in a major political scandal linked to his father, a Chief Minister. With themes of power, media pressure and family conflict, the film tries to show how personal lives get entangled in political chaos.


Happy Raj - Amazon Prime Video
While Malayalam thrillers lead the buzz, Tamil cinema also brings a light-hearted watch with Happy Raj. Starring GV Prakash Kumar and Sri Gouri Priya, the romantic comedy will stream from April 24, 2026. The film will be available in Malayalam dubbed for a wider reach.

The film follows a young man who repeatedly fails in love, despite his efforts. Just when he begins to lose hope, he meets someone who changes his life, but winning her heart comes with a condition: he must impress her family on his own. What follows is a series of humorous and emotional situations that form the heart of the story.

Super Jimni - ManoramaMAX
Already available from April 20, 2026, Super Jimni features a socially driven narrative. Starring Meenakshi Anoop, the film focuses on a young girl who stands up against corruption and mafia control in her village. With its strong message and emotional storytelling, the film adds a serious tone to this week’s OTT slate. It is already streaming in HD and 4K with subtitles, making it accessible to a wider audience.

Patriot: Legends Hangout - JioHotstar
One of the most talked-about digital releases this week is Patriot: Legends Hangout, a special chat show streaming from April 23, 2026. The show brings together some of Malayalam cinema’s biggest names, including Mammootty and Mohanlal.

The digital release is keenly awaited, especially after its strong box office performance and growing fan interest. The makers are yet to announce the digital release date.


Ashakal Aayiram- Zee 5

Ashakal Aayiram explores the emotional strain between an ambitious son and his grounded, principled father, as conflicting ideas of success push their relationship to breaking point. While the son believes in shortcuts to climb faster in life, the father stands firm on values, patience and integrity, leading to tense yet deeply moving moments between them. Starring Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram in lead roles, alongside Asha Sharath and Sharaf U Dheen, the film began streaming on ZEE5 on April 17, 2026.


Sambhavam Adhyayam Onnu - JioHotstar

Sambhavam Adhyayam Onnu is a Malayalam-language thriller written and directed by Jithu Satheesan Mangalathu. The film stars Askar Ali, Vineeth Kumar, and Assim Jamal, and follows three police officers who enter a dense forest along the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow officer. What starts as a routine search soon turns into a tense survival mission as they encounter eerie, seemingly supernatural forces and unsettling secrets hidden deep within the woods. The film began streaming on JioHotstar on April 15, 2026.
