Lakme Fashion Week: Designer Nari obliges fellow designer and looks at Monaco for inspiration
Fashion designers are always on the lookout for inspiration to stimulate their creative senses. Designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed aka Nari sought inspiration from the scenic beauty in the world's second smallest country Monaco, for his collection at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015.

Elaborate cocktail gowns, tailored day-dresses and structured jackets in corals, lavendars and mint for daywear and deeper hues of purple, midnight blues and burgundy for nightwear were some of the highlights of the show.

The men's line embraced sorbet hues and jacquard jackets that can be worn from dawn to dusk. Nari himself graced the ramp in onion pink chinos and a white shirt with floral accents. Letting you on to a secret... the shirt was not from his line, but a gift from a fellow designer Sid Rawal.

Rawal, a huge fan of Nari's gifted him the shirt and jokingly asked him to wear it for his show at LFW and was apparently surprised when Nari obliged. Close friends of Nari say that he's always keen on experimenting and is not a stickler for wearing his own designs.

If he takes a fancy to a garment, he will sport it. Seen on the red carpet for Nari's show were celebrities like Eli Evram dressed in Narendra Kumar and also Rahul Bose, Amitabh Nanda, Anindita Nair, Pallavi Sarda and Shahid Datawala among others.
