Lady In White: Deepika Padukone steals the show with a shimmering ivory-hued saree at BAFTAS 2024

Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone recently wowed her fans by dropping her shimmering look for the 77th British Academy Film & Television Awards (BAFTA).

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the ‘Piku’ star dropped two stunning pictures of her BAFTA look and we can safely conclude that she is looking nothing short of ethereal!

Regal In White

In the pictures, Padukone is shown to be wearing a flowing, off-white shimmering saree which is complemented by an effortlessly sexy, backless, sleeveless blouse. The ‘Ye Jawani Hai Diwani’ actress styled her hair in a sleek bun. She completed the minimalistic yet impeccable look with smoky eyes and nude lip colour.

The ‘Cocktail’ star’s chic avatar went viral on social media and many of her fans gushed about her gorgeous look. “To Deepika Padukone and her glory,” tweeted a fan.

‘The elegance Deepika Padukone exudes,” noted another Crazen. “i call it the Deepika Padukone effect, to leave everyone stunned gasping for breath and compliments…” gushed another.

Padukone is the presenter at the BAFTA Awards. While this is her first time presenting at the British awards, it is far from the first time she had put the saree, India’s traditional wear on the global map. At her very first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival years ago, she wowed the audience there in a jaw-dropping Rohit Bal saree. In 2022, when she was elected to be a member of the jury at the festival, she again arrested everybody’s attention in a gorgeous Sabyasachi-designed saree.

On the work front, Padukone was most recently seen in the action-drama ‘Fighter’. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie also had Hrithik Roshan in the lead. The film was Bollywood’s first aerial drama. It also marked her first on-screen collaboration with Roshan.

She will next be seen opposite Telugu superstar Prabhas in the fantasy-adventure ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
