The epic war of dharma that began centuries ago in the Mahabharata now reaches its dramatic conclusion. The makers of Kurukshetra: Part 2 recently unveiled the official trailer, giving fans their first glimpse of the final chapter in the animated retelling of the legendary battle. Packed with intense warrior duels, celestial weaponry, and emotional stakes, the trailer promises a visually stunning and emotionally charged finale. The narrative continues to focus on the perspectives of 18 central warriors.

Kurukshetra part 2 OTT release date confirmed

Fans eager to watch the series won’t have to wait long. Kurukshetra: Part 2 is set to stream exclusively on Netflix from October 24, 2025. All episodes of the concluding installment will be available at once, allowing viewers to experience the epic war’s fateful end in one go.



The final part brings the 18-day war to its climax, where alliances are broken, destinies are realized, and dharma itself is tested. The series promises to explore the emotional and moral cost of the war, showing how every warrior must confront the consequences of their choices.

While Part 1 of the series revolved around the opening nine days of the Kurukshetra war, Part 2 shifts to the decisive moments. Key events include Abhimanyu’s tragic death, Arjuna and Karna’s confrontations, and Bhima’s climactic duels. The narrative emphasises both strategic battles and the warriors’ internal struggles as the war nears its end.

The trailer also shows the series’ signature visual style, featuring energy-charged arrows, fiery battlefields, and magical effects. Shots of the Chakravyuha formation, Krishna adjusting a warrior’s crown, and glowing celestial weapons underscore the blend of mythology and high-intensity animation.


Conceptualised by Anu Sikka, the series stands out for its psychological depth and character-driven storytelling. Produced by Tipping Point, the project brings together Alok Jain, Anu Sikka, and Ajit Andhare as producers, ensuring a high-quality retelling of the epic.

The series is written and directed by Ujaan Ganguly, who brings a modern cinematic approach to ancient mythology. His direction emphasises the moral and emotional dilemmas faced by the warriors. Legendary poet and lyricist Gulzar contributes his voice as the official lyricist.
