Kumar Mangalam Birla at his fashionable best at AICW 2015

Corporate bigwig Kumar Mangalam Birla deserves some brownie points for upping his swag quotient in a dark green velvet jacket at the recent Amazon India Couture Week in Delhi. However, we'd say a few tweaks would have helped him take things up a notch.

Taking a cue from footballer David Beckham and Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone, who've shown how to wear velvet well, Birla's other option could have been a well-fi tted jacket rather than a bomber. Also, velvet is a statement on its own, so it's best teamed with a solid shirt, preferably in white. That said, full marks for effort.
