'KL Rahul is humble, intelligent, composed.' Why Suniel Shetty can't stop gushing about cricketer son-in-law
The actor is quite enjoying his new role in life.

The 'Dhadkan' actor gave a huge shout-out to the 30-year-old cricketer for staying rooted and grounded, calling him "humble". "Despite having the adulation of the nation, Rahul remains humble. He’s well mannered, intelligent, & extremely composed," a visibly proud Shetty wrote on his social media account.

"Most importantly, like all athletes, he’s seen ups & downs - which is something that will help him long after he’s done with cricket," Shetty, who himself diversified into health and fitness ventures including a start-up Fittr, wrote.
Shetty, who has acted in more than a 100 films during his Bollywood stint, also wrote about the new (real life) role that he is expected to play now that Athiya and Rahul have made it official. "People ask me how it feels to be a father in law now, & I’m not sure how I’m expected to behave! What I do know is that I’ve always treated Rahul like my own son, and that’s how it’ll always be. That he happens to be pretty good at my favourite sport, is a bonus!" he wrote.
"Being public figures, people assume that Athiya & Rahul enjoy the attention. Deep down however, they’re simple, private people. They chose to remain private on the most important day of their lives," he wrote, adding that the guest list did not even touch 100, and "at no point did things seem like a strain. "
The celebrity couple got married at the Shetty family home 'Jahan', in Khandala. It was a small and intimate affair that was attended by both sets of families & their closest friends.
