Kishore Biyani, Bhavish Aggarwal to brainstorm on funding challenges, boardroom battles

It's not every day that a Bollywood celebrity makes it to the list of 100 most influential people. But in the last few years, Deepika Padukone has become a household name. She is one of the best talents in Bollywood right now, and has made her presence felt in Hollywood too, with her maiden project 'xXx: Return Of Xander Cage'.

And this year, Padukone has made it to TIME magazine's esteemed list of 100 most influential men and women across the world. She is the only Bollywood celebrity to make it to the list this year.

Her Hollywood co-actor Vin Diesel thinks that she deserves every bit of this fame, and recalled the first time he met the diva and called the experience very special. He said that she isn't just a star but an actor who is dedicated to her craft.

Virat Kohli is one of six athletes listed among the world's most influential people. The 29-year-old is the world's top ranked ODI batsman and in 2017 scored the third-most runs in history across all three formats for a calendar year.

Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar penned a tribute for Kohli, explaining that a decade ago he knew he was witnessing the rise of a remarkable player. "The U19 World Cup in 2008 was very important for India, as it would define the next bunch of youngsters who would go on to represent the nation," Tendulkar wrote.

Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola co-founder and entrepreneur has given India one of the world’s largest ride-sharing cab companies. Ola is currently used in more than 100 cities in India empowering millions of commuters who use the cab-sharing services. He recently launched his cab sharing business in Australia, making him one of the few homegrown tech companies to expand outside the country.

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, has successfully restored the company’s spirit of innovation. The organisation now has a new product strategy, which emphasises cloud computing and allows people to collaborate across platforms.

Nadella also preaches the importance of empathy and making products that work reliably, traits that deepened in him when his first child was born with brain damage and his son’s life depended on linked machines running Microsoft systems.

Last year, he wrote ‘Hit Refresh: The Quest to Rediscover Microsoft’s Soul and Imagine a Better Future for Everyone‘, a book about individual change, about the transformation happening inside of Microsoft, and the technology that will soon impact all of our lives.
