A diamond ring and necklace was among the things that were stolen from Aamir Khan's wife residence in Bandra.

MUMBAI: Jewellery worth Rs 80 lakh was allegedly stolen from Bollywood director-producer Kiran Rao's residence on Carter Road in Khar, police said today.

Kiran Rao is wife of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.

"As per the complaint filed by Kiran's father, a diamond ring and a necklace collectively worth Rs 80 lakh have gone missing from her apartment," the official said.

Based on the complaint, Khar police have recently registered a case under section 380 (theft in dwelling house) of IPC.

"Police are interrogating domestic helps and others in connection with the case," the official added.

No arrest has been made so far and further investigation into the matter is on.
