Kiran Nadar buys Hema Upadhyay's last work 'Home'
The late contemporary artist Hema Upadhyay's work 'Home' has found a residence. Kiran Nadar, wife of Shiv Nadar, bought the work at the India Art Fair in Delhi last month.

The gallerist for the work, Shireen Gandhy o f Mumbai - based Chemould Prescott, confirmed the purchase. Kiran bought 'Home' for Rs 20 lakh and will possibly display it at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art.

The painting is one of Upadhyay's last known completed works. The artist, who was found murdered in Mumbai last year, also finished a piece titled 'Conversations'. A fter being displayed at the Sensorium arts festival in Goa, the work will be back in Delhi's Vadehra Art Gallery. There's no word on its sale yet.

The proceeds from the sale of any works by the artist will go to her family, which includes her mother and brother.
