Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw mesmerises students at her alma mater

She's just made it to the list of the world's top 100 "effective and talented" in biotechnology as part of the US-based Scientific American magazine's 'The Worldview 100', but trust Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw not to rest on her laurels. We're going by the Biocon chairman and MD's recent stroll down nostalgia lane, during her visit to Mount Carmel college in Bengaluru this month to chair an event.

Shaw was at her alma mater of 1969, where she spoke to students on entrepreneurship, narrating incidents from her journey. Yet before her address, Shaw asked the student presenter to cut short her introduction, listing the Biocon chairman's many achievements. Apparently, students were mesmerised by her 60-minute talk and then, excited to take selfies with her. Shaw worked her camera too tweeting this picture of her with the Mount Carmel principal Dr Sr Aparna, the staff and students.
