'Kingsman' actress Sofia Boutella cast in 'Star Trek 3'

LOS ANGELES: "Kingsman: The Secret Service" actress Sofia Boutella will play the lead role in the upcoming third installment of the " Star Trek" reboot series.

Justin Lin is directing the movie from a script by cast member Simon Pegg and creator of TV series "Dark Blue", Doug Jung, reported Deadline.

"Star Trek" (2009) marked the first of the reboot series and 11th of the original film franchise. It was followed by "Star Trek Into Darkness" in 2013.
