Kingdom OTT release date confirmed: When and where to Vijay Deverakonda's Telugu spy action movie

Vijay Deverakonda’s latest action thriller, Kingdom, is all set to make its digital debut. After releasing in theatres on July 31, the film, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri, received a mixed response from critics, but it managed to generate significant buzz among audiences. Fans eager to catch the movie from home no longer have to wait long, as the makers have now confirmed the OTT release details.

Kingdom OTT Release Details

Kingdom will start streaming on Netflix from August 27, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, making it accessible to a wide pan-Indian audience.

Netflix India announced the release on social media with the statement, “In the kingdom of gold, blood and fire… a new king rises from the ashes.” Sithara Entertainments, the production house behind the film, shared a similar update, noting that the Hindi version is titled Saamrajya due to title restrictions.

About Kingdom

The story of Kingdom revolves around Suri (Vijay Deverakonda), a constable-turned-spy who embarks on a perilous mission to Sri Lanka in search of his long-lost brother, Siva (Satyadev). During the mission, Suri encounters the son of cartel leader Odiyappan, Murugan (Venkitesh), which complicates his plans. Alongside him is Dr. Madhu (Bhagyashri Borse), who provides support and develops a romantic connection with Suri.

The film’s soundtrack, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, received praise for enhancing the narrative, with Vijay expressing admiration for the background score at a Hyderabad promotional event, noting that it elevated the entire cinematic experience.

Box Office

Released amid high expectations, Kingdom amassed Rs 82.02 crore worldwide. While this surpassed the lifetime collection of Arjun Reddy, the film could not fully recover its reported production budget of Rs 150 crore, leaving it short of being classified as a commercial hit.
