Kidambi Srikanth is not engulfed by any superstition as he heads to Rio for the Olympics
Kidambi Srikanth says he does not have any superstitions. And the 23-year-old badminton player does not want to add any as he heads to Rio for the Olympics, where he is India’s lone hope in the men’s singles. "I want to approach the Olympics like any other tournament," Srikanth said at a felicitation by employers Indian Oil in Mumbai. His soul patch, though, is something of a lucky charm. He said, "I started keeping it a long time ago. Sometimes it has worked, sometimes not. But I don’t want to take it off now." These will be Srikanth’s first Olympics. And badminton apart there are two events he would like to watch. " Tennis for Roger Federer and 100m for Usain Bolt," he said.
