‘Khiladi’ finally makes a ‘sporty’ debut! Akshay Kumar now owns cricket team, invites applicants on Instagram

Akshay Kumar has taken a page from fellow superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s book.

Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ recently revealed that he was the owner of the ‘Srinagar Team’ for the upcoming Indian Street Premiere League (ISPL).

Taking to Instagram, the ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ star invited cricket enthusiasts to join his team. “From cinema to the stadium! Proud to announce that I will be coming to @ispl_t10 as a Team Owner of Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) A chance to play in my team awaits. Register Now: Link in bio,” wrote the star.


The post went viral on the image and video-sharing website, gaining more than 280K likes. Several fans flooded the comment section, sharing their joint enthusiasm about the actor’s new chapter in life.

“Akshay sir is the best,” wrote a fan. “And this called Akshay Kumar,” gushed another.

The tennis ball tournament will take place on March 2, 2024. Six teams - Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Srinagar will battle for the main trophy over 19 matches.
