Kerala's Sruthy Sithara wins Miss Trans Global crown, becomes the first Indian to win this title
Sitharan dedicated her award to her late mother and Anannyah Kumari Alex.

The physical event, which was scheduled to be held in London, was cancelled this year due to the pandemic. "Proud at its peak," Sithara said.
She was dedicated the award to her late mother and "Anannyah chechi", referring to Anannyah Kumari Alex, the Kerala's first transgender RJ who died by suicide earlier this year.
"I'm sure both are witnessing this moment from heaven. Thank you so much all who behind this successful journey," Sithara wrote on Instagram as she thanked her fans for their constant support.
Sithara, 25, worked as a project assistant at the Kerala government's Social Justice Department.
"Karma Says : If you focus on hurt, you will continue to suffer. If you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow. You will definitely get the result of your efforts if you really dream for it," Sithara wrote.
In the top spots at the pageant, Sithara was followed by the contestants from Philippines and Canada. At the competition, Sithara introduced herself as a model and an actress. Each contestants had to choose a hashtag as part of the competition and Sithara chose #transphobia.
Miss Trans Global is an international online pageant for trans and gender nonconforming people from different background. The pageant was started to raise awareness on transgender and LGB issues around the world.
