Kerala: Young cinematographer Krishna dies of Meningitis-related complications in Srinagar. She was 30

Cinematographer Krishna KR, originally from Perumbavoor, tragically passed away in Srinagar due to Meningitis and other complications at the age of 30. Krishna, widely respected for her talent and promise in the film industry, was working as an associate cinematographer on the third film of the Telugu Hit series, directed by Sailesh Kolanu. She had been recruited by renowned Malayalam director and cinematographer Sanu Varghese, who was the Director of Photography for the project.

Krishna fell ill during the shoot in Jammu and Kashmir after completing prior filming schedules in Rajasthan and Arunachal Pradesh. Initially diagnosed with a chest infection, she was admitted to Srinagar’s Government Medical College Hospital on December 23. Following a few days of treatment, she began to show signs of recovery and was able to converse with her family. Her brother travelled to Srinagar to be with her, but in an unforeseen tragedy, Krishna suffered a cardio-respiratory arrest.
