Krishna fell ill during the shoot in Jammu and Kashmir after completing prior filming schedules in Rajasthan and Arunachal Pradesh. Initially diagnosed with a chest infection, she was admitted to Srinagar’s Government Medical College Hospital on December 23. Following a few days of treatment, she began to show signs of recovery and was able to converse with her family. Her brother travelled to Srinagar to be with her, but in an unforeseen tragedy, Krishna suffered a cardio-respiratory arrest.
