Keeping it hot for Britain’s bestpaid CEO
When you are the "best-paid executive" in your country and everybody knows it, how would you like your tea? Well, if you take home an annual pay of 42.97 million GBP and your name is Sir Martin Sorrell, you would want your "Earl Grey with hot milk". The chief executive of advertising group WPP, currently in India for a business initiative, has checked in at the newly renamed St. Regis Mumbai.

Staying at the Caroline Astor suite, he has feasted on a lunch of Vietnamese Fried Rice, special Bean Curd in Chili Bean Paste and Stir Fried Lamb Yunnan style at one of the hotel’s restaurants. And before his return, could very well be tucking into biryani given his love for the dish. Food choices and tea instructions apart, Sir Sorrell is quite the stickler about his laundry too. He’s clear about wanting his clothing to be pressed just the right way. For sure, a man who knows that with garments and business, it’s best to strike the iron when it’s hot.
