He may have been dropped from the team for the upcoming T20 matches against New Zealand, but Kedar Jadhav is making a name for himself in the right circles.

The right-handed batsman recently won the ‘Cricketer of the Year’ award at a ceremony in Mumbai, where former cricketer Pravin Amre had a lot to say about the young cricketer. “I called Kedar for an event for a social cause and he was there. Jadhav comes from a small town near Solapur, and his rise has been reported as a ‘from-rags- toriches’ story. And so, when the 32-year-old bought his first house for his family in Pune recently, most of the men in blue, including MS Dhoni and Ajinkya Rahane, dropped by to wish him.
