KE Healthcare CEO calls books her refuge from work stress, keeps her Kindle handy
Shreedha Singh shares her reading list and learnings from the books she has been exploring recently.

Singh recommends 'The Speed of Trust: The One Thing that Changes Everything' to anyone looking to understand the deep association between trust and progress.
"Books have been my refuge from the constant noise of everyday work stress. The book that I'm currently reading is 'The Speed of Trust: The One Thing that Changes Everything' by Stephen M.R. Covey," she says.
The book gives one a unique perspective on trust-building, both within organizations and at a personal level.
Trust Ties
"The author emphasises the importance of building trust in a world of trust deficit and describes trust as a skill that can be learned, built upon, and accelerated. He describes building trust as an inside-out process where one begins by first focusing on one's actions and behaviour to build upon virtues like credibility and integrity. Having faith in oneself must come first, as it is the most crucial step. Then he moves on to the bigger picture of organizational trust and how it can be built through contribution and giving back to those you work with," she says.
Singh recommends this book to anyone looking to understand the deep association between trust and progress.
"I have developed a habit of reading for at least half an hour every day. It gives a balance to my day, and it is a routine in my day that I look forward to," she says.
Stress Stay
Reading books for Singh is her way of reclaiming that little window of me-time when she is not thinking about work.
"It's almost like meditation that takes one into a different dimension, away from the worries of the world one lives in. Sneaking in a couple of hours of reading time helps me reset my mind a little before getting back on the daily grind again," she says.
