Kalanithi Maran and his daughter Kavya stay in a 100 crore home
Sunrise Hyderaband owner and Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran’s daughter Kavya and Jailer 2 composer Anirudh Ravichander have been hitting headlines for their upcoming lavish wedding. The two would be tying the knot in November. For the unversed, Kavya is the only daughter of the business tycoon. According to Forbes, Kalanithi Maran’s (called the Television King of South India) net worth stands at a staggering $2.3 billion (around Rs 19,200 crore). According to Archidust.com, the billionaire and his daughter lives in Boat Club Road, Chennai, one of the poshest residential areas in India. The bungalow is reportedly about Rs 100 crore in valuation.

A Look At The Architecture

The bungalow is designed for comfort rather than extravagance. There are wide corridors and high ceilings, as is typical of ultra high networth homes.

Understated Decor

The decor is understated rather than fabulous and extravagant. The flashy includes premium furniture and a subtle and understated colour palette. Open living areas blend with private family spaces, allowing the home to serve as both a personal retreat and a venue for formal events. Considering the family's status, the home should also feature specific entertainment zones, elegant lounges, and safe private spaces—created to host business partners, sports figures, and intimate family members.

According to a Business Standard, this house was acquired from HSBC in an auction in 2001 and is surrounded by tall walls. The house is expensive enough to buy 20 3BHK flats in the posh Poes Garden and Nugambakkam.

As per reports, Kavya and Anirudh would wed in Greece on November 10 and 11. They would have a grand reception in Chennai on November 21. Kavya has obtained a degree in commerce from Stella Maris College in Chennai and an MBA from Warwick Business School, UK. Aniridh has a degree in commerce as well from Loyola College. He also studied piano at Trinity College of Music in London as well as sound engineering.
