The always-on startup culture is equal parts pro and con. Pro, because it gives the young employees an adrenaline rush. Con, because it can drain them out just as fast. That’s why 28-year-old startup boss and Hike Messenger founder Kavin Bharti Mittal finds merit in staying fit. “If you are working 14-15 hours a day, the only way you can do that is by staying really fit,” he says. He meditates every day for at least half an hour, morning and evening. Over the week, he works out at least four-five times. His exercise routine is a combination of cardio and heavy weight lifting. Not surprisingly, he also uses technology to help with his fitness goals. Mittal shares his favourite fitness tech:

Apple watch:
I recently purchased it and I’m pretty obsessed with it. I use it to track my activity level, the number of footsteps I take daily, calorie intake. So that’s pretty neat.

Exist.io:
It’s an app developed by an Australian startup that I’ve been using on and off. But I recently decided to use it for six months and see. It’s very interesting. It’s got a way of tracking everything you do, every day.

Withings: It’s a smart scale. I’ve had it for three years. It tracks body fat, weight, body mass index etc. I actually have a three-and-a-half year timeline of my weight, tracked on a weekly basis.
