Katrina Kaif recalls how she and Ali Abbas Zafar communicated through GIFs: ‘We can have deep, intense conversations’
Actress Katrina Kaif recently opened up about her equation with director Ali Abbas Zafar, who helmed many of her hit movies, such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhaan, Tiger Zinda Hai, New York, etc. She also broke silence on the trolling she had faced from...

“I have taken a step ahead of something that was a deep desire in my heart, so why would I want to go back? The first few days after I gave birth, it was an indescribable feeling to see Vihaan’s face and know that four years of a journey for me and Vicky had led to this. I am very aware of my fitness journey and where my body feels at its most energetic. I will reach there at my own pace,” she said.
She also didn’t make excuses for people who deliberately target female celebrities for their weight gain or loss and said that if someone chooses to be harsh and insensitive about others' looks, it is their own prerogative.
“I think most people are aware of what a woman’s body goes through after giving birth. And if they still choose to view that body through a harsh lens, it’s a personal choice. It can’t be blamed on a lack of information, because there is so much information out there…” she said.
The actress also spoke about her warm equation with director Ali Abbas Zafar, who directed her in multiple hit films such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhaan, Tiger Zinda Hai, New York, etc. She said the director and she had a blast on the sets of Mere Brother Ki Dulhaan and said he brought her a funny side.
“I cannot tell you how much we laughed and enjoyed ourselves while making that film. There is a sense of humour that only Ali can bring out in me. We can have deep, intense conversations exclusively through GIFs,” she recalled.
She also praised her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, for being a supportive husband and a hands-on father. She praised him for being a good listener and for being an active parent to Vihaan dispute beinga busy actor.
“As a father, he’s been amazing. He has this incredible superpower to be 100 per cent present in the moment with Vihaan and me, even when he is tired and has been working 14, 16 or 18 hours a day. Our romantic dinners and movie nights have taken a backseat for now, but Vicky keeps reminding me that everything will find its own time again,” she explained.
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal got married on Dcember 2021, at Six Senses Resort, Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, after two years of dating.
