Bebo talks Pataudi with Rakesh Jhunjhunwala; thanks hubby Saif for life lessons
Celebrity life, in the eyes of a fan, might be all about glitz and glamour. However, it's only when they see beyond the silver screen, when realisation strikes that celebs ain't no different. Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, born and brought up in a typical Hindu-Punjabi household and married in a Nawab family, too, is quite relatable in that respect. For the tinsel town diva, stepping into a royal household came at a cost, which, she felt, was not too big to worry about.
In a recent interview with markets expert Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, who is also the owner of Rare Enterprises, the 39-year-old opened up about her life in the Pataudi palace, as the 'Begum' and as the mother of a Punjabi-Muslim kid Taimur.
To begin with, the actress still does not consider herself as the true 'Begum of Pataudi'. Instead, she continues to reserve the title for her amazing and utterly graceful mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore. She said, "Her’s are big shoes to fill because she has aced everything in her life."
Bebo and Saif's wedding in October 2012 made headlines for quite some time due to obvious reasons. However, not many knew what pushed Kapoor to marry in a Nawab family. Bringing clarity to fans about the same was Jhunjhunwala's interview where Bebo revealed that it was the support her better half offered in terms of career that won her heart.
A lot of conversation and interest still revolves around the upbringing of the Punjabi-Muslim Nawab born to Bebo and Saif, Taimur Ali Khan.
"He (Saif) has added a lot to my life also in terms of just being so open and supportive in terms of allowing me to work after marriage. In terms of overall approach, he has shown me that there is more to life than just probably movies or investing."

A lot of conversation and interest still revolves around the upbringing of the Punjabi-Muslim Nawab born to Bebo and Saif, Taimur Ali Khan. The 'Veere Di Wedding' actress gave her fans parenting goals while sharing nuggets of how she and her husband Saif Ali Khan go about the upbringing of their son Taimur.
Kareena Kapoor Khan wants Taimur to follow the principles of humanity.
The 2-year-old Nawab, who is often followed around town by paparazzi, will be raised on the principles of humanity, says his mother. While talking about religion and culture, Kapoor Khan said that she and her husband respect every religion.
"I just want to tell Taimur that he should just be a good human being at the end of the day and he can follow whichever path he likes in his life. Of course, we respect all religions and we will follow all religions, like we celebrate Christmas as much as Diwali. It is a festival of family and togetherness and love and light," Bebo said.
