Karan Johar tags PM Modi on Twitter, announces 'epic series' to celebrate 75 years of India's independence

Bollywood film-makers Karan Johar, Rajkumar Santoshi, Dinesh Vijan and Mahaveer Jain have announced a seven-episode "epic series" as part of the 'Change Within' initiative to celebrate 75 years of the country's independence.

Earlier this year, Johar had launched the initiative on Gandhi Jayanti. It is aimed towards creating inspiring content about the "valor, values and culture" of India.

The 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' director took to Twitter to share the announcement. He also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet.


"Happy to announce our first Epic series of #ChangeWithin initiatives to celebrate 75 years of Independence. Friends from the creative fraternity Rajkumar Santoshi, Dinesh Vijan and Mahaveer Jain come together to tell incredible stories of our freedom @narendramodi ji," Johar tweeted.


A tweet from Maddock Films, Vijan's production house, said that the team has come together to chronicle stories for "young audiences".
