Karan Aujla on moving from Canada to Dubai
In a candid conversation on Raj Shamani, the Punjabi singer revealed that his house in Canada was attacked multiple times. In fact, he shared that gunshots were fired at his residence on six separate occasions. One such incident was particularly alarming, as bullets reportedly entered his bedroom, putting the lives of his family in immediate danger.According to him, these attacks were not random but linked to extortion threats. He claimed he was warned not to perform in shows or return to India unless he paid a hefty sum. His refusal to comply with such demands allegedly triggered the repeated shootings.
The Tauba Tauba singer also spoke about how the structure of Canadian homes. Many houses are made of wood, Karan pointed out that bullets can easily pass through the walls. This, he said, leaves residents feeling unsafe even while indoors. Despite some efforts by authorities and security teams, Aujla expressed disappointment, stating that little was done to actually protect him and his loved ones.
After these attacks, he decided to move to Dubai. However, he said that his decision was met with criticism. Some people in Punjab accused him of fleeing out of fear, even questioning his identity and calling him out for not being a "real Punjabi Jatt." Addressing this, Karan Aujla clarified that while he is proud of his roots, true courage also means knowing when to step away from danger for the sake of one’s family.
He explained that the safety of his wife and sisters was his top priority. Recalling one incident when bullets struck his bedroom, he said it deeply affected him, especially thinking about how easily someone could have been hurt or worse. He also mentioned future concerns, saying he doesn’t want his children to grow up in an environment filled with fear.
Singer owns 25 guns
Moreover, Karan revealed that he legally owned between 20 to 25 firearms in Canada and would often go for target shooting as a hobby.
