Kapil Sharma tweets bribe complaint to PM Modi; Maha CM Fadnavis promises quick action
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis took notice of the matter, and replied to the comedian on Twitter. BJP MP Kirit Somaiya also tweeted.

The comedian, who has over 6.2 million followers on Twitter, vent his ire on the social media platform. In a tweet tagging the Prime Minister, he lamented that despite paying taxes for the last 15 years, he was expected to cough up a bribe of Rs 5 lakh:
I am paying 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi

The BMC, sensing the damage, was quick to reply to the actor-comedian. BMC's vigilance chief engineer Manohar Pawar tried to do some damage-control by stating that the agency has taken a serious view of the corruption. He also requested the actor to name the person who had apporached him for a bribe.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis also took notice of the matter, and replied to Sharma on Twitter:
